Our Mission
Access to clinical trials should not depend on your zip code, your bank account, or who you know. At Source1Medicine, we are closing the gap between patients who need cutting-edge care and the trials designed to provide it.
Clinical trials are the leading edge of medical progress. They represent the best chance many patients have. But for millions of Americans, participation is effectively impossible.
of clinical trials fail to meet enrollment targets
Not because eligible patients don't exist — but because geographic and financial barriers prevent them from ever saying yes.
eligible patients decline due to travel costs
A single overnight stay plus gas can cost more than $200. For patients already managing illness, that is an impossible ask.
of trial sites are in just three metro areas
Rural and underserved communities are systematically left out of the clinical research pipeline — and the treatments it produces.
These are not statistics. They are patients. Source1Medicine was built to change this.
Three integrated programs. One shared mission: give every patient a fighting chance.
Our AI-powered Trial Finder matches patients to active clinical trials based on their diagnosis, location, and medical profile. We pull from ClinicalTrials.gov and filter for eligibility in plain language — no medical training required. If a trial exists that fits, we help you find it.
Search Trials Now →The TLAC App trains residents, fellows, and attendings to reason through differential diagnoses using case-based learning and AI feedback. By building better clinicians, we improve the pipeline of physicians who can identify and refer patients to trials in the first place.
Explore the TLAC App →When a patient qualifies for a trial but cannot afford to participate, S1M funds the journey. We cover transportation, lodging, and related travel costs so that financial hardship is never the reason a patient says no. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Geographic and financial barriers to clinical trials are not inevitable. They are problems we have chosen not to solve — until now.

A physician who knows how to think through a complex diagnosis is more likely to recognize a trial candidate. Better training produces better access.

Every decision at S1M is made through a single lens: does this help patients get to the care they deserve? If yes, we try to build it. If no, we don't.
