Every grant is documented, tracked, and reported. Here’s what donations fund in real terms.
Why It Matters
The most advanced treatments in medicine are tested in clinical trials. But access to those trials is not equal — it never has been. Patients with resources, proximity to major research centers, and flexibility in their schedules participate at far higher rates than those without.
The result: trials are under-enrolled, drugs take longer to reach patients, and the people with the greatest need are the least represented in the research that could help them most.
Source1Medicine exists to close that gap — one patient, one flight, one grant at a time. Your donation is the mechanism that makes this possible.
We can sequence a genome in an afternoon. We can’t get a qualified patient to a trial site across state lines. Source1Medicine is fixing the logistics gap that modern medicine left behind.
We take stewardship seriously. Here’s what you need to know.
Source1Medicine is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. You will receive an email receipt with our EIN (87-2117189) for your records.
Travel grants go directly to patients — covering flights, lodging, and transportation. A portion of donations supports TLAC development and platform infrastructure, which reduces long-term administrative costs. We publish an annual impact report for donors.
Monthly donors provide the predictable funding that allows us to plan grants in advance rather than reactively. You can cancel your recurring gift at any time with a simple email to our team — no questions asked.
We also accept gifts of stock, donor-advised fund distributions, and corporate matching contributions. Contact us at donate@source1medicine.org for wire transfer details or to discuss a major gift.
